Partnering for Better SuccessThis summer, a delegation of representatives from the Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council (HCPC) made a trip to Washington D.C. to discuss ways to improve healthcare in the United States, reduce costs, and better protect our pharmaceutical supply chain. First the HCPC contingent met with four staff members from the White House Office of Health Reform to discuss the role that pharmaceutical packaging can play in lowering national healthcare costs and in improving the pharma supply chain. The group then traveled to the Russell Senate Office Building to meet with staff from the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. As an HCPC board member, Sandra Luciano from Alcan Global Pharmaceutical Packaging was one of those representatives. She was also accompanied by our Technical Director Joe Wittemer who is located in the Alcan Packaging Pharma Center in Shelbyville, Kentucky. We had a chance to sit with Sandra and Joe and ask them about their visit to Washington D.C.
I invite you to learn more about the visit during which packaging was at the heart of discussions. Please see the subjects below. |
