The foundation of our product and service portfolio at Alcan Packaging is the recognition that a diverse competency list offers you maximum value. With high quality printing processes, varied diecutting capabilities, and complimentary finishing features, our Specialty Cartons business is well suited to meet any carton conversion challenge. We have further utilized these competencies to formulate a variety of unique carton product lines, such as Spotless and Authentication.

Printing Conversion
Alcan Packaging utilizes four state-of-the-industry presses that offer maximum performance and quality. With lithographic capabilities such as 4-color process, direct Pantone spot color, water-based and UV overvarnish coating and the additonal capability of silk screening, all printing needs can be met. Alcan Packaging has also developed a unique 6-color process, called Spotless, that mirrors spot printing in a more cost-effective manner.

Diecutting
Alcan Packaging offers a wide array of diecutting and blanking capabilities for both short-run quick change and long-run jobs.  Hot stamping, embossing and debossing are other value-added servcies within our diecutting portfolio.

Finishing
Once considered a standard process, innovative carton design has made finishing a value-added service.  With capabilities such as straight-line gluing, partitition gluing, label application, fugitive glue application and windowing, our finishing portfolio can be used to add functionality to your package design.

Compliance Packaging
Poor patient adherence to medication therapy has long been an epidemic in healthcare systems worldwide.  It is estimated that non-compliance results in over $177 billion in unecessary medical costs and lost revenues in the US alone.  While many solutions exist to improve patient adherence, the use of innovative packaging has yet to be exploited.  The Ohio State University recently completed a study showing innovative packaging can improve patient adherence by 15%.  For this reason, Alcan Packaging is developing a portfolio of solutions, called ComplySolutions™. The goal of this product line is to complement the medication experience and ultimately improve compliance.
